Axial Flow Check Valve Working Principle: The opening and closing of the valve disc are determined by the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet ends of the valve. When the pressure at the inlet end is greater than the sum of the outlet end pressure and the spring force, the valve disc opens. As long as there is a pressure difference, the valve disc remains open, but the degree of opening is determined by the magnitude of the pressure difference. When the sum of the outlet end pressure and the spring force is greater than the inlet end pressure difference, the valve disc closes and remains closed. Since the opening and closing of the valve disc are in a dynamic force balance system, the valve operates smoothly, without noise, thereby reducing water hammer phenomena.
If the fluid flow pressure cannot support the valve in a larger opening and maintain it in the open position, the valve disc and related moving parts may be in a state of continuous vibration. To avoid premature wear of moving parts, noise, vibration, or vibrating operation, the diameter of the check valve should be selected according to the fluid state.
Axial Flow Check Valve Features

4. The valve disc returns to the seat under negative pressure generated by medium flow and spring thrust, without direct impact of the medium on the back of the valve disc; therefore, the axial flow check valve is a low-noise valve.
5. The support at both ends of the valve disc and the surface treatment of the valve disc shaft reduce the sticking phenomenon during the use of similar valves, ensuring smooth opening and closing; at the same time, it avoids the defect of poor alignment due to gravity, uneven force on the sealing pair, and inconsistent contact positions between two actions, which affects sealing performance, keeping the sealing pair always under force and in contact.
6. The spring thrust is slightly greater than the sum of the valve disc gravity and the friction between the valve disc and the front and rear supports when the valve disc is in the closed position. The valve disc can return to the seat for sealing at low pressure and any installation, while also achieving low-pressure opening, reducing pump start-up load, and protecting the smooth operation of the pump.
